2,4-Dichloro Meta Xylenol, also known as DCMX, is an off-white to brown crystalline powder with a characteristic odor. While insoluble in water, it dissolves in various organic solvents like methanol and acetone. Commonly used as a disinfectant, germicide, and antimicrobial agent, it should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area.
